Trips

Autumn term: Tuesday 25th November 2025, year 1 and 2 children will be transported back to 1666 to take part in an immersive workshop about the Great Fire of London. The workshop will take place at Bisham CE academy, and the children will need to be dropped off at Bisham Abbey Sports Centre between 8:00- 8:15am where they will taken to Bisham CE academy for registration. The children will need to be collected from Bisham CE academy at 3:00pm.

Spring term: Wednesday 4th March 2026, Years 1 & 2 will visit the Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford. The children will take part in a workshop about the Inuit and arctic animals which will tie in with their school topic of ‘Frozen Kingdom’.

The children will travel to the museum by coach and will need to arrive at school by 8.00am. The coach will depart promptly at 8:15am to allow for sufficient time to arrive at the Pitt Rivers museum for the workshop and museum tour.  The children will depart Oxford at 2.30pm and depending on traffic, will return for the end of the school day.

The children will need to wear full school uniform. They will need a waterproof coat and a packed lunch including a water bottle.

Summer term: Wednesday 15th April 2026, we have organised a very exciting drama-based workshop for years 1 and 2 to enhance their history topic ‘Florence Nightingale’. We would love for the children to attend dressed as either Florence Nightingale or a Crimean war soldier to immerse themselves in the story telling.
